megadeth-1-of-2

Heard of the band Vic and the Rattleheads? Probably not. But if you have, then you know that they don’t actually exist. Unless, of course, Megadeth feels like using the name to sneak their way into Saint Vitus bar in Brooklyn, NY. The not-so secret show  was announced last week and when 180 fans beat us to tickets, we pulled whatever strings we could to get inside – a huge thanks to our friends at Jackson Guitars and Dave Ellefson!

Led by the ever so humble and entertaining Dave Mustaine, his right hand man on the low end Dave Ellefson, and newcomers Kiko Loureiro (Lead guitar) and Dirk Verbeuren (Drums), the band took the small stage and cranked through a set of classics (including Holy Wars, Hangar 18, and Sweating Bullets) and the title track from their Grammy nominated album Dystopia Before we knew it, the set was a wrap (ending just under an hour) and the band went off to host the Revolver Awards at Webster Hall last night in NYC. While nearly impossible, we were able to snap a few pics and we’ve added some from the band’s Instagram to give you an idea of the madness that took place in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Prior to the show, we were able to meet up with Ellefson and get his signature Jackson CBX Bass signed, and we’re giving one lucky fan a chance to take it home! Enter to win it here:
